Welcome to OhioMeansJobs Columbus-Franklin County (OMJ-CFC)!
We are operated by the Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation (COWIC), an independent, non-profit agency with a long history of serving the needs of job seekers and employers in Central Ohio. OMJ-CFC/COWIC is dedicated to developing and advancing the workforce to meet the current and future needs of the communities we serve.
We work with thousands of people annually, serving Franklin and surrounding counties in the Central Ohio region. At the OhioMeansJobs Center, multiple agencies (Job Center Partners) deliver related services for job seekers and employers. The OhioMeansJobs Center and COWIC is staffed by experienced professionals who care deeply about the people and communities in which they live and serve.
All services and programs at the OhioMeansJobs Center are free of charge.
We receive collaborative funding from:
- the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
- the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act
- the Wagner-Peyser Act of 1933
- the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
- the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services
- Franklin County
- The City of Columbus
- The Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio.
In addition to being monitored by the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio (WDBCO), we are also governed by our own COWIC Board of Directors.
