Restoration Academy is a robust, six (6) month work experience program provided by the City of Columbus, the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio, Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation (COWIC) in partnership with several community organizations including Alvis 180, Columbus Public Health, Columbus State Community College, Columbus Urban League, Dress for Success, Eckerd Youth Alternatives, IMPACT Community Action Agency, Franklin County Reentry Coalition, and PrimaryOne Health. The goal of the academy is to provide re-stored citizens in Franklin County with work experience, wrap around services, and supportive services that will lead to successful family-sustaining employment.

- Work-readiness/Job preparation
- Health and Wellness activities
- Re-Entry Program Services
- Specialized/Occupational Skills training
- Employment Assistance
Restoration Academy’s ultimate goal is to help program graduates secure permanent employment with a public or private employer.
For 2017, final selection of the participants has been completed. The Restoration Academy will have a cohort comprised of 17 participants which operates up to six (6) months in duration. This cohort will incorporate the mandates of WIOA to provide specialized career services to individuals with a documented employment barrier.
